URJA is has established itself as one of the top most three phasedry type Vacuum Pressure Impregnated (VPI) transformer manufacturer from India. We also supply and export VPI dry typethree phase distribution transformers to government owned organizations and multinational organizations.
VPI transformer consists an iron core, high voltage windings and low voltage windings which are vacuum pressure resin impregnated. The low voltage winding is constructed with conductors. DuPont Nomex, a flame resistant meta-aramid insulating material includes an apparatus which secures the windings in place during vacuum and pressure resin impregnation process. VPI transformers are used in areas which have a considerable moisture content in surrounding atmosphere.
Class H Polyester resin is used as an insulating medium in VPI transformers. It has a hot spot temperature withstand capacity of upto 180 Degrees Celsius and maximum winding temperature withstand capacity of upto 220 Degrees Celsius. Due to tightly bound conductors the coil exhibits high short circuit protection in comparison with resin cast moulded transformers.
In VPI transformer the winding can be viewed physically on opening of the enclosure door. This provides a better chance for repairing in case of some fault observed in winding. Vacuum Pressure Impregnated transformers are environmental friendly transformers. They replace the use of mineral oils andprevent groundwater contamination caused by oil leakage and oil pilferage.
Our VPI transformers comply with IEC 60076-11, IS 11171, BS and CE standards. Enclosure Degree of Protectionrating for VPI transformer is IP55.
We manufacturedry typeVPI transformers upto 3.5 MVA and 33 kV class which are air cooled (AN)
Vacuum Pressure Impregnated transformer are used in:
These transformers are used in the distribution network for commercial office buildings, feeding basements or stilts of high-rise buildings, stadiums, air ports, hotels, shopping malls, buildings located in coastal areas, chemical & refinery plants, movie theatres.
